Set up of guns and equipment		All Present	Only instructors who have an appropriate shooting qualification are permitted to run this activity. A current list of appropriate qualifications is available on Scout website Ensure qualification is checked at time of booking Guns must be double checked at end of session to ensure they are unloaded and stored safely in the cabinet. Gun check log on cupboard must be completed.
Participation in activity		All Participants	For under 18’s, written permission must be acquired by the instructor from parent / guardian to ensure compliance with Firearms act 1968. Adults taking part in the activity must also complete their own form to ensure  compliance with Firearms act 1968 Requirement to do this emphasised at time of booking
Environment. Trips and falls.		All Participants	Ensure area is clear of trip hazards before commencing activity and that participants only walk in marquee area
Equipment failure		All Present	Online equipment log in use for usage times and checking for damage.  All equipment is safety approved and regularly checked.
Over ambitious behaviour		All Participants	Controlled by instructor and at least one other adult. Leaders to monitor and assist with control of participants
Observers and non-participants		All Present	Air Rifle range is barriered off during use. All those in marquee must wear eye protection whilst shooting is in progress
