Falling / slipping off the slackline

Slackline is not to be set up over knee height (50cm) from ground level

Setting up of the slackline

Fingers are to be kept clear of the crank when tightening and releasing the strap as well as during operation.

Slackline to be set up in a suitable location using suitable trees.
Falling branches from trees

Leader to carry out visual check of tree when setting up and that they are using a suitable tree.

Risk: Slip/trips in wet and muddy conditions, hypothermia, sun stroke.
All presentIf thunder is heard or lightning seen the activity is to stop immediately. The activity may recommence 20 minutes after the last thunder is heard.

Instructor’s ongoing risk assessment and judgment will decide whether to continue or put a stop to the activity.
