Slips, trips & falls

- Take care on wet floors, in particular the toilet and shower areas. Caution signs to be erected during cleaning of these areas.

Woodpile, woods & vegetation – splinters, cuts, grazes, stings | | All present | Appropriate footwear to be worn when in the wood pile area.
No climbing on the woodpile.
Care to be taken when collecting wood from the wood pile, e.g. nails.
Avoid overgrown vegetation areas.
Avoid climbing trees.
Group leaders to advise group members of the risks and where appropriate supervise and give instructions. |

Vehicles on site – Hit by moving vehicles on campsite, car park and access road. | | All present | - No vehicles on the camping grounds unless permission given and if permission has been given the vehicle must keep to 5mph speed limit, use headlights when dark.
- Vehicles must be returned to car park after unloading/loading.
- Speed limit of 5mph must be adhered to by drivers using access road and car park.
- No vehicles are to be driven behind or in front of the lodge for the exception of unloading/loading.

Fire – Burns, death. | | All present | Groups must have a fire plan for the duration of their stay, that plan must be explained to group members.
Follow the site’s fire evacuation plan, Group leaders to ensure the evacuation plan is given to group members.
Group leaders must take fire precautions on their campsites.
Fires in camping areas to be in altar fires only. Ground fires are only permitted in the campfire circle and bushcraft area. | |
