Surface conditions: - Wet ground - Debris - Stumbles and Trips | Young People | High | The activity will always take place on flat grass with a slope gradients of no more than 20 degrees to reduce slips and trips.
The tarpaulin / slide will be throughly checked by the zone leader to check for debris and assess the suitability before the session commences.
Surface area is cleared and assessed as safe before carrying out the activity.
Zone leader is able to contact Scout Med if necessary via radio so they are able to attend to any medical issues arise.

Volunteers to ensure that the young people are wearing appropriate clothing - t-shirts, shorts and that shoes are tied or on safety.

Friction burns from the Tarpaulin / Slide | Young People | High | The tarpaulin and slide are constantly watered with a hose to create a water flow along the whole length of the slide.
Lubricating liquid will be mixed with water to create slippery surface.
Young people maybe given inflatable ride ons with instructions to hold by the supplied grab handles. | Low |
