  • An experienced Leader (or nominated Traffic Marshal) will be responsible for overseeing the crossing of the onsite road.  
  • Leaders will follow the instruction to use the designated routes to and from the car drop off and coach drop off areas and the event field  
  • Only a Traffic Marshal, wearing a High Viz jacket, will remain in the road signalling traffic to stop whilst leaders and young people are crossing.  
  • Movement of vehicles along the roadway being crossed to be reduced as much as feasibly possible

  • A Leader will be at the front of the group, one at the back, with the others- as necessary - positioning themselves alongside the group between the young people and the road itself. (Walking Bus)  
  • The group will be instructed to stay together as one group, on one side of the road only  
  • The group will walk off the road and on the grass wherever possible  
  • The Traffic marshal will halt any vehicle movements where necessary whilst leaders and young people are crossing.
